A few months back, my friend and I bought Musee Platinum Tokyo' underarm IPL package at only SGD 88 (I used the "All Deals Asia" mobile application and search for all the deals so I cannot remember specifically at which deal's web did I purchase it from) for unlimited sessions on top of that, there is even a free gift! At first I was rather skeptical about it, $88 for unlimited sessions did seem a little too.. you know what I meant. But we just went ahead to give it a try!
We chose the outlet at Bugis+ (formerly known as Iluma). I really like the place because it looks neat and tidy! Be warned that they are extremely particular about late-coming and there will be penalties if you are late for more than 10 minutes! On top of that, you may have to re-schedule your appointment if there are no more slots for you. So please bear that in mind! :)
Moving on.. On the day of consultation, the consultant brought us into a small room to give a little short briefing on the don'ts, what to expect from the treatments and of course, about hair growth along with its cycle and stages.
Let me give you a list on the don'ts (Those that I can remember)
- No alcohol 24-48 hours prior to treatment
- Do not apply deodorant/perfume before treatment
- Do not pluck your underarm hair 3 weeks before treatment
- Shave 2 days before treatment
Apparently I didn't get to do the first treatment on that day because I went to pluck my underarm hair about a week before consultation. So the consultant told me that there may not be results because I plucked out the root of it. So I had to reschedule again for my first treatment, what a bummer for me!
One thing I like about the place is that, the consultant did hard-sell me a little about the packages and all but I rejected because I'm a student and the prices a quite expensive! She accepted that fact and did not attempt further (You know some places, they can just come up with student deals on the spot and that is quite irritating!). Another thing is that, she did not give me any sort of black-face or attitude upon facing rejection :)
I'll talk about my first and second treatment in the next blog post!
Do leave a comment if you have any enquiries!
